The IACC Council, established in September 1996, oversees
the International Anti-Corruption Conference series,
with Transparency International as its Secretariat.
Its principal goal is to provide advice and assistance
to the host of each IACC and to ensure that each conference
is conducted in accordance with the principles contained
in the IACC Council Guidelines for the Holding of the
International Anti-Corruption Conference. The Council
and Transparency International worked on the organisation
of the successful IACC conferences in Lima 1997, in
Durban 1999, and in Prague 2001. They are now involved
in the preparation of the 11th IACC in Seoul.
