Checking Registration Status
  All registrants are asked to check their registration status and personal information on file, especially their registration number. Please remember to bring your Letter of Confirmation. If registrants do not have a letter of confirmation to verify their status, any proof of registration fee payment (i.e. the receipt of bank transfer receipt) can be used to confirm registration.
Registration Procedures On Arrival
  Each participant of the 11th International Anti-corruption Conference must personally check in at the appropriate Registration Desk to pick up a Personal Packet (including their Name Badge and Conference Bag) before attending any Plenary Sessions, Workshops, or Events. On-site check-in will be arranged according to your last name.
Registration Desk Operating Hours
  Registration Desks are open at the lobby of Grand Ballroom, on the 1st floor of COEX during the following hours:

25 May - 27 May 200 08:00 - 17:00 COEX
28 May 2003 08:00 - 12:00 COEX

The registration desk will also be opened at 11:30 - 20:00, at the Olympic Parktel Hotel on 23 May 2003 for TI-AGM participnats. On-site registration will be available from 24 May at COEX. Please note that only pre-registrants can pick up their conference bag and Personal Packet.

All participants of the 11th IACC, and accompanying persons are required to register with the Organizing Office for GFIII & 11th IACC via one of the following registration channels:

For the purpose of greater efficiency and expediency, we encourage the use of the online registration form. Please read the Registration Guidelines carefully before beginning to fill out all registration forms.

You can begin registration online by clicking. "Online registration" in the left menu. If you prefer to use the offline registration, you can download the registration form and the Registration Guidelines below, and return the form to the Organizing Office by email, fax or mail.

  Please note:
- The standard currency for hotel expenses only is the Korean Won (Kw). The standard currency for all other prices, rates, refunds and related fees is the US dollar (USD).
- All transaction fees, including those related to refunds, will be borne by the registrants.
- All dates and times are based upon Korean Standard Time (GMT+9)
- All requests for cancellations or refunds must be submitted before the deadline in written form. Telephone and other oral requests will not be accepted.
- Registration will be complete only when full payment for registration related costs has been made.



- E-mail: Although not required, we strongly recommend that an e-mail address be provided for updates or important notifications on registration status or information regarding the 11th IACC.
- Passport Number / Resident Registration Number, and Date of Birth: The passport number, or the resident registration number if your nationality is Korean, and the date of birth are required for reasons of visa and security.
- Other Special Needs: Please indicate any other special needs that might be required, including needs for the disabled.



An identification badge will be provided at the conference registration desks to serve as a ticket for the conference, and as a useful form of identification to other participants. Participants are requested to wear the badge throughout the entire conference.
Please indicate personal information to be included in the identification badge, such as Name, Nationality, Organization, and Position. If no clear indication is made, the participant¡¯s Name, Organization, and Nationality will automatically appear on the identification badge.

Please note that the subtotal for three days registration (USD 900) exceeds the amount for full registration (USD 650 for advanced registration, USD 830 for regular registration). As part of the conference organization procedure, and to ensure the proper development of the conference program, Transparency International has assumed responsibility including expenses for the development of the conference program, the organization of the workshops, and other relevant duties. In return, TI will receive 100% of all registration fees paid by participants to the conference to cover these expenses. Registration fee examptions can be granted only by TI.


2) TI Supported Participants:
Please fill in item 3 as if a full registrant. Indication of TI support can be made when filling out the payment methods under item 8.
3) Registration Fee Submission Deadline: 5 May 2003 (Applicants who fail to complete their registration fee payment by this deadline will not be considered participants. Subsequent to this date, registration fees must be paid on-site).
4) Registration Entitlements
- Full Registration
  Full registrants are entitled to attend all plenary sessions, all workshops, the Opening Ceremony*, the Networking Evening, and all Dinners. Full registrants are also entitled to a pre-paid lunch card and coffee for the duration of the Conference, and a complimentary bag. (* Limited to the first 800 participants only)
- Day Registration
  Day registrants are entitled to attend the plenary session, the workshops, lunch and coffee, and the Dinner for the registered day only.
5) Cancellations and Refunds
All appropriate refunds will be reimbursed following the conclusion of the conference.

Please indicate flight numbers and arrival and departure times to Korea in local time. Airport Limousine buses will operate continuously between the airport, the conference venue, and the hotels.

In order to enable the organizers to determine appropriate workshop room sizes, please indicate the workshops of interest or of planned attendance. For detailed information on time schedule and contents of the workshops, please click ¡°for more information on workshops.



The Conference includes a total of three dinners. Only those who have registered in advance (approximately 800 participants) will be able to attend the Opening Reception on 25 May, due to security reasons and space limitations. Therefore, a clear indication of your desire to attend is recommended.



The 11th IACC will be held immediately after Transparency International¡¯s 2003 Annual General Meeting (TI¡¯s 2003 AGM), and immediately prior to the Third Global Forum on Fighting Corruption and Safeguarding Integrity (Global Forum III). For purposes of greater coordination, please indicate whether you plan to participate in either of these conferences. Please note that both conferences are by invitation only. Furthermore, a separate registration procedure exists for each of these conferences (TI¡¯s 2003 AGM will have on-site registration only).

- By Credit Card: Only VISA, MasterCard, and American Express will be accepted. Please provide the cardholder¡¯s name, card number, and the expiration date. The information requested differs according to the country in which your credit card was issued. If your credit card was issued in Korea, the first 2 digits of the 4-digit pin number and the last 7 digits of the cardholder¡¯s resident registration number should also be provided. - TI Supported Participants: This option is limited to participants whose registration fee will be borne by Transparency International. Following verification by TI, The Organizing Office will notify the participant of the completion of their registration.


*PASSWORD: The password will be given when the transmission of your registration information is completed. Please remember your password in order to view your registration information or to register for other items.

*Confirmation of Conference Registration
- Acceptance of Registration Application: Following submission of the registration form, its receipt will be verified by the Organizing Office through email, or by fax in the case that no e-mail address was provided. Upon receipt of this email or fax, please contact the Organizing Office if any changes or modifications need to be made.
- Letter of Confirmation (Conference Registration): Once registration is complete, a Letter of Confirmation will be sent by e-mail, or by fax or mail in the case that no e-mail address was provided, to confirm registration completion (registration will be completed only when the full registration fee has been paid to the Organizing Office). Registrants who notify the Organizing Office of the need for a visa to enter the Republic of Korea will receive the Letter of Confirmation by mail. This letter will contain important information (such as the registration number) and can facilitate the application for a visa. Please click ¡°VISA¡± to see if you need a visa to enter the Republic of Korea.



Payments relating to the hotels, accompanying person(s), and tours will be handled separately from that of conference registration. As a result, a separate account exists for the deposit of payments for hotels, accompanying person, and tours. Please see item number 12 for more details.



The official Housing Bureau (the agency within the Conference Organizing Company that handles hotel and other related matters) has secured a diversity of efficient and convenient hotels at special conference discount rates for the participants during the period of the conference. If alternative information from other lodging facilities is needed, please contact the Housing Bureau via e-mail (cocol@coex.co.kr), fax (+82 2 575 9828), or mail (5F, Yuil Building 41-14, Dogog-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul 135-270, Republic of Korea). We recommend that reservations be completed by 1 April, after which securing reservations can be difficult. Please click on ¡°Hotel Info¡± for more details.
If you plan to stay at a specific lodging facility other than the ones specified in the list, please provide the name of the lodging facility.

[Reservation Terms]
- Service charges are included in the room rates. Foreign guests will be exempt from the 10% VAT. Room rates cover the costs for rooms only. All other expenses will incur additional charges.
- The standard currency for the rates will be the Korean Won (Kw). The basic exchange rate as of January 2003 is Kw 1,178.30 per USD 1. The rates are subject to the exchange rate of the respective dates of payment.
- The deposit required for hotels will be a one-night room rate.
- The total amount indicated is the tentative deposit for the first preference indicated, subject to availability and other conditions. This amount is not the amount due. The specific amount will be determined after contact with the participant by the Housing Bureau.
- Upon submission of the application for registration and reservation(s), the Housing Bureau will contact the participant for follow-up procedures.

Accompanying persons cannot attend the plenaries or the workshops. If the accompanying person wishes to participate in the plenaries or the workshops, registration as a regular conference participant is required (i.e., as either a full registrant, or day registrant). Accompanying persons will be provided with lunch during the full-day tour only.

All appropriate refunds will be reimbursed following the conclusion of the conference.

The Organizing Office will operate four tour programs during the conference, and three tour programs following the conference (a total of seven). For detailed tour schedules, itineraries, and conditions please click ¡°Tour Info.¡± Reservations are accepted before and during the conference. Please note that overnight tour (Tour No. 5,6,7) reservations should be made a minimum of 7 days in advance of the tour date.

Each applicant can view their most recent registration information on the official conference website by entering their last name and the password that was provided upon registration. Modifications can only be made through the Organizing Office.
