Through the tour programs listed below, all participants of the 11th IACC can witness the beauty and magic of Korea where the modern world lives in harmony with the age old foundation of tradition and culture. All tour programs will be offered on a daily basis from 22 to 31 May 2003 (minimum number of total participants for the day tours must be 2 or more, and 4 or more for overnight tours).

Theme Into the royal family¡¯s life of the orient

  Gyeongbok Palace Built in the late 14th century by the founder of the Choson Dynasty. There are the majestic edifice ¡°Kunjongjon¡± the spacious 2-story pavilion, ¡°Kyongheoru¡± and nestled in the middle of lotus pond, ¡°Hyangwonjong¡±.

National Folk Museum also situated on the palace compound. It displays the religious rituals, dwelling customs, household tools, food, traditional costumes and the social dynamics of traditional Korean Life.

Jogyesa Temple is the headquarters of the Chogyejong, one sect of Korean Buddhism. Buddhist temples to be found within the city limits. Headquarters of the Chogyejong sect, Jogyesa Temple is famous for its Lantern Festival which is held every spring to commemorate Buddha¡¯s birthday.

  Secret Garden is a name of an orthodox royal rear court, meaning the secret garden, adjacent to charming Changdeok palace where you can have a peep into King¡¯s private garden.

Seoul Tower is rising 237m above the summit of Namsan in the heart of Seoul. It has been the symbol of Seoul since 1980 Visitors can take in a panoramic view of the city while enjoying a drink or a meal at the skyline restaurant. A beautiful public park can be found on Namsan, featuring a botanical garden and statues of famous historical sites. Three tunnels connecting the city¡¯s northern and southern districts crisscross the mountain¡¯s interior.
